About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Metering and Operational Data, the Meter Data Operator will be responsible for providing various clerical, administrative, data entry, data analysis and procedural support to the Metering and Operational Data department.
What you will do
- Maintain, read, validate, edit and operate as per regulatory requirements, the MV90, MDM, and AMI systems and data;
- Process metering data, execute data validation, estimate and edit (VEE) process;
- Review and analyze exception reports from various meter data management systems. Determine and implement appropriate actions to resolve;
- Liaison with IESO and the MDM/R, resolve ticket issues and confirm data file transfers as necessary;
- Coordinate the replacement of failed meters and estimate usage as required;
- Administer and coordinate the reverification process of metering assets with Measurement Canada;
- Set up, remove and delete meters and gatekeepers from associated systems as required;
- Identify and resolve client/server application issues with meter application vendors and apply software service upgrades when required;
- Identify and resolve metering infrastructure field issues in combination with Metering Technicians;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you have to offer
- Minimum 5 years working in an electrical utility Metering environment;
- Post-Secondary education in Electrical or Computer Technology would be an asset;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with MV90, AMI, MDM/R, MDM and Wholesale Metering applications and technologies;
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines;
- Familiarity with all applicable safety and industry rules, regulations, codes and standards, including, but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), TSSA, ESA, IESO, CEA, OEB and Measurement Canada;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build trust in a team environment;
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
- Must possess a valid Class G license with a clean abstract.
